Best Football Sportsbooks: 2026-27 Season
Check out our rankings of the best NFL and college football sportsbooks for 2026-27, based on football markets, betting features, promos, and overall experience.

The Best Online Sportsbooks for Football: Ranked
Football is the biggest sport in the U.S., and the numbers back it up. The American Gaming Association estimated that $30 billion was legally wagered on the 2025-26 NFL season, with an estimated $1.76 billion wagered on Super Bowl LX alone. Those figures don't even include college football.
With that much action surrounding the NFL and college football, nearly every sportsbook makes football a priority. However, that doesn't mean they all offer the same experience.
The best football sportsbooks separate themselves with deeper betting markets, competitive odds, same-game parlays, live betting features, football-specific promotions, and other tools built around game day.
We tested and ranked the best online sportsbooks for football based on the features that matter most to football bettors. Below, we break down what each sportsbook does best, where it falls short, and which options are better suited for different types of NFL and college football betting.

Top 10 Football Sportsbooks
Breaking Down Our Top Football Sportsbooks
There isn't one football sportsbook that's going to be the best choice for every bettor. Someone building same-game parlays every Sunday is looking for something different than a college football bettor shopping spreads or a player who spends most of the game betting live.
That's why our rankings go beyond simply putting the top 10 sportsbooks in order. We've broken down what each sportsbook brings to football season, including its standout features, betting markets, promotions, and areas where it falls behind the competition. Whether you're looking for player props, alternate lines, prebuilt parlays, live betting, or a sportsbook that keeps things simple, there's an option that stands out.
Here's a closer look at each of our top 10 football sportsbooks.
1. Fanatics Sportsbook
- FanCash earned from bets can be redeemed for NFL merchandise
- Fanatics lets you parlay many NFL futures, including award winners and other season-long markets that are restricted elsewhere
- Fair Play protection can void eligible NFL player props when a player leaves early with an injury
- Fanatics Squad Bets let you easily combine player props, without one loss sinking the whole bet
- NFL live streaming is available in-app, which is still far from universal among US sportsbooks
- Most recurring football promos are limited to Profit Boosts, so the weekly promo selection can get repetitive
Even though Fanatics Sportsbook launched well after FanDuel & DraftKings, I believe it has surpassed them both, at least when it comes to football betting. It is just as strong in nearly every area and stands out with aspects such as its FanCash Rewards.
Fanatics Sportsbook is the new official sports betting partner of the NFL, taking the place of FanDuel, DraftKings, & Caesars Sportsbook. That should bring even more strength to its football offerings, now that it is an exclusive partner of the league.
I give Fanatics the top spot on this list because it not only keeps up with elite football sportsbooks; it sets the new standard. Even if it hasn't reached the level of mainstream success as the older online sportsbooks, it's currently the most attractive home for football betting.

BET MATCHES: Apply promotion in bet slip and place a $1+ cash wager (min odds -200) daily for 10 consecutive days starting day of account creation. FanCash rewards will equal the qualifying wager amount (max. $100 FanCash/day). FanCash issued under this promotion expires at 11:59 p.m. ET 7 days from issuance.
BET & GET: Must toggle on this promotion in your bet slip and wager $20+ cash on any market (min. odds -500) within 7 days of account opening to receive $50 in FanCash each day for your first 7 days. Must opt in each day to claim FanCash. FanCash issued in connection with this Promotion expires 24 hours from issuance.
See full T&C at Fanatics.
2. FanDuel Sportsbook
- FanDuel has one of the deepest college football menus, including plenty of smaller Saturday matchups
- Player Pages put recent game logs and performance trends directly beside NFL player props
- NFL bettors get unusually deep defensive props, including tackles, sacks, and other individual defensive markets
- FanDuel offers more short-duration NFL markets than most sportsbooks, including bets tied to drives and quarters
- The sportsbook regularly builds special markets and promotions around major football events like the Super Bowl
- FanDuel offers fewer options for combining season-long NFL futures than some competing sportsbooks
FanDuel Sportsbook is the largest online sportsbook in the US, and not by mistake. Not only was it one of the first (after transitioning from Daily Fantasy Sports), but it continues to improve its product and adapt to how modern sports bettors behave.
Of course, its focus on football is one of the strengths of FanDuel. While other sportsbooks make college football feel like an afterthought, it is at the forefront of its football product alongside the NFL. There are deep markets throughout a full Saturday slate, while features like Player Pages, defensive props, and short-duration NFL markets give bettors more ways to dig into individual games.
FanDuel falls just short of our top spot because Fanatics offers a few more unique football-specific perks. Still, there aren't many weaknesses in FanDuel's football product, and it's an easy sportsbook to keep in the rotation throughout the season.

3. Bet365
- Football moneyline bets can pay out early once your team takes a 17-point lead
- Early Payout also marks eligible moneyline legs as winners within parlays and SGPs
- One of the deepest catalogs of futures, with uncommon markets such as conference seeds, week 1 starter, and best/worst record
- Bet Boosts regularly improve the listed odds on selected football markets without requiring a parlay
- Bet365 offers an unusually deep selection of live football markets once a game gets underway
- First touchdown scorer odds can be less competitive than those at other major sportsbooks
While Bet365 isn't as widely known in the US, its product rules the market for most of the globe. It has quietly expanded to nearly as many states as the OGs of the US industry and is one of the strongest options for football bettors.
Live betting is where I think Bet365 really separates itself, with a deep selection of markets that continue to open and change after kickoff. Its football promos are another strength, especially Early Payout, which can settle eligible moneyline bets before the final whistle. The combination of deep markets, strong live betting, and useful weekly promos earns Bet365 the #3 spot on our list.
It doesn't have all the bells and whistles of the top 2 on this list, but many football bettors will prefer Bet365 if they value functionality over flashiness.

4. DraftKings Sportsbook
- Dynamic Odds show exactly how adding or removing a leg changes your football SGP price
- GameScript makes it easier to build SGPs around a specific prediction for how a football game will play out
- DraftKings has one of the deepest selections of alternate NFL player props for building SGPs
- Anytime and first touchdown scorer markets consistently offer plenty of players to choose from
- Progressive Parlays give football bettors a more forgiving alternative to traditional all-or-nothing parlays
- DraftKings is less flexible than Fanatics when it comes to parlaying season-long NFL futures, such as awards
DraftKings has built one of the most complete football products in the industry, with plenty to offer both NFL and college football bettors. The sportsbook is particularly well suited to bettors who like experimenting with more complex wagers, rather than sticking exclusively to traditional spreads and totals. Its football interface handles a huge number of markets, making DraftKings a strong option throughout a full Saturday or Sunday slate. It can feel a bit cluttered to new bettors, as it is so deep in markets and features. Overall, DraftKings very easily could have ended up with a top 3 spot on this page.

5. theScore Bet
- theScore integration gives you detailed NFL scores, stats, news, and game previews just one click away
- Following your favorite teams helps personalize theScore with relevant games, news, and betting markets
- PENN Cash earned through betting can be redeemed for Bonus Bets or other PENN rewards and experiences, such as live game tickets
- Particularly useful for following several football games at once
- Strong season-long markets such as stat leaders and stage of elimination
- College football doesn't get the same market depth or overall attention as the NFL
theScore Bet takes a slightly different approach to football betting by leaning heavily on its connection with theScore sports media app. Scores, news, injuries, and other game information are a bigger part of the overall experience, making it particularly useful for bettors who closely follow games throughout the day. Its NFL product is the clear strength, while the PENN Play rewards ecosystem adds another reason for regular bettors to stay active.

6. Hard Rock Bet
- Has one of the strongest built-in stats hubs for researching football bets
- The slider under player props makes alternate passing, rushing, and receiving lines easy to adjust
- Live player-prop tracking shows your progress directly in the betslip during football games
- The Discover page surfaces the football parlays that other Hard Rock bettors are playing most
- Football promos lean heavily on Profit Boosts instead of more creative weekly offers
- College football market depth falls behind the biggest national sportsbooks
Hard Rock Bet has grown considerably from a sportsbook once known primarily for its presence in Florida. Its football product feels increasingly modern and useful, with a clean interface and several tools integrated directly into the betting experience. It actually stacks up against the bigger names much better than you may think. Availability remains more limited than the largest national operators, but the actual product can compete with many of them where Hard Rock Bet is legal.

7. Caesars Sportsbook
- Flex Parlays can still return a payout when one or more football selections lose
- Caesars Rewards turns regular football betting into credits for Bonus Bets, trips, dining, and other rewards
- Runs football contests and specials throughout the season
- Strong selection of longshot prebuilt football parlays for bettors chasing bigger payouts
- Standard NFL odds can be less competitive than the prices at other major sportsbooks
- SGP builder has fewer customization tools than other top competitors
Caesars combines a traditional sportsbook experience with one of the most established loyalty programs in the gambling industry. That makes it especially appealing to football bettors who also visit Caesars casinos, resorts, or other properties, since sportsbook activity can contribute to a broader rewards experience. The football product itself covers everything expected from a major operator, and it does a good job of offering ongoing promos tied to the NFL.

8. BetMGM
- Second Chance can refund eligible First Touchdown Scorer bets when your player scores the game's second TD
- Does a particularly good job displaying the TV schedule alongside upcoming NFL and college games
- Dedicated NFL SGP Boosts rather than only generic sport-wide boosts
- The app makes first-touchdown and anytime-touchdown markets easy to find without digging through the full prop menu
- NFL Same Game Parlays don't have the player-prop depth of the strongest SGP builders
- Alternate passing, rushing, and receiving lines aren't as flexible as others
BetMGM remains one of the biggest names in US sports betting and provides a reliable football product across both the NFL and college game. It tends to be at its best during major football weekends, when the sportsbook puts more emphasis on featured markets, promotions, and popular games. It doesn't have quite as many defining football features as the sportsbooks ranked above it, but there are few major gaps in the overall experience. While it's reliable and easy to use, BetMGM just doesn't do as much as others to separate itself.

BetMGM New User Promo

9. BetRivers
- Prop Central puts NFL player props in one place instead of making you search through individual games
- Recent team trends and streaks are displayed directly alongside football betting markets
- BetRivers allows some college conference-winner futures to be combined into parlays
- Many NFL player props aren't posted as early as they are at larger sportsbooks
- Same Game Parlays offer fewer player-prop combinations than the top SGP builders
- There is no meaningful in-app football live streaming for bettors following games
BetRivers doesn't have the same national profile as most sportsbooks on this list, but its football product has some useful tools for bettors willing to look beyond the biggest brands. The experience puts more information around the betting markets than many smaller sportsbooks, which can be helpful when working through a large NFL or college football slate. Its biggest limitation is overall depth, where it has a harder time keeping up with the industry's leading operators. It also could use a major update to its mobile app, which feels very outdated.

BetRivers New User Promo
21+. New customers only. Offer amount varies by state.
Up to $500 bonus in IL/IN/MD/LA/MI/PA/VA.
Up to $250 bonus in CO/NJ
Up to $100 bonus in AZ/IA/NY/OH/WV
Must make a qualifying deposit of $10+ with promo code SBOBONUS. Must make qualifying cash wager with odds of -200 or greater. If the first qualifying wager settles as a loss, receive a non-withdrawable Bonus Bet equal to your stake, up to a maximum of $500.
See full T&C at BetRivers.
10. Bally Bet
- Offers plenty of individual NFL season totals beyond the usual team futures
- Swift SGPs provide ready-made football parlays for bettors who don't want to build every leg themselves
- The NFL futures menu includes a solid selection of individual award and season-long player markets
- The NFL tab requires too much scrolling when moving between games and player markets
- Football parlay tools lack the customization features found at bigger sportsbooks
- Doesn't have a standout football stats or research feature, or other unique features
Bally Bet covers the essentials for NFL and college football betting, but remains a simpler product than most of the sportsbooks ranked above it. It works best for bettors primarily interested in straightforward football wagering, rather than those looking for the deepest markets or newest betting tools. Bally Bet has continued to develop its sportsbook, but its football offering still has some ground to make up against the more established operators. However, if you live in a legal online casino state, its sportsbook acts as a great secondary aspect to its casino app.

Football Betting Promos
Football season is one of the best times to shop around for sportsbook bonuses. Operators regularly put extra marketing behind the start of the NFL and college football seasons, while the playoffs and Super Bowl bring another wave of offers. That can mean larger welcome bonuses, football-focused promotions, or simply more competition between sportsbooks trying to get new bettors through the door.
Football is one of the best sports for ongoing sportsbook promotions, with new offers regularly appearing for NFL and college football games throughout the week. Existing-user bonuses can vary by sportsbook, state, and even account, but these are some of the most common types you'll find:
- Profit Boosts: Apply a token to an eligible football bet to increase the amount you win. Boosts may be available for straight bets, parlays, SGPs, or specific games.
- Odds Boosts: Sportsbooks improve the odds on a selected football market, player prop, or pre-built parlay. Unlike a Profit Boost, there's usually no token to apply; you simply bet the boosted market.
- Bet Protection: Get some form of protection if an eligible wager loses under certain conditions. Football versions can include protection against early injuries, losing parlays, or other bad breaks.
- Free-to-Play Games & Challenges: Pick winners, answer questions, or complete weekly challenges for chances to earn Bonus Bets, boosts, or other rewards.
- Rewards Programs: Sometimes sportsbook rewards programs have almost no value, while other ones are a defining factor of the platform.
It's worth checking the promotions tab before betting each Saturday or Sunday. Ongoing offers change very frequently. A useful Profit Boost, SGP promo, or protection offer can sometimes be a bigger reason to use one sportsbook over another for a particular game.
Football Welcome Offers
You generally won't find a welcome bonus that requires you to bet on football. Instead, sportsbooks run their normal sign-up offers while heavily promoting them around major football dates. The current market includes bet-and-get bonuses, first-bet protection, daily bet matches, and profit boost packages, giving new users several different ways to earn rewards.
That timing can work in your favor. If you're planning to join another sportsbook anyway, it's worth checking what is available around Week 1 of the NFL season / the start of the college football season, the playoffs, and the Super Bowl rather than assuming the welcome offer stays the same all year.
In between these times, it's common to see these offers lowered, maybe to a lower bonus amount for a bet-and-get, for example. It's also a copycat industry, so you'll often see companies experiment with a different style of welcome offer, and then competitors follow suit. Also, it has become increasingly common to offer users a choice between two distinct welcome offers, of which only one can be claimed.

Football Betting Features & Markets
There are two sides to what a football sportsbook offers: the features you use to place and follow your bets, and the markets you can bet on. Features like live betting, Same Game Parlays, and in-app stats can impact your betting experience, while the market selection determines whether you can find the wagers you're looking for.
Here are some important features and markets to look for in your next online sportsbook:
Key Football Betting Features
Football is perfect for live betting because the game gives you plenty of natural breaks to see how things are playing out. Sportsbooks constantly update spreads, moneylines, totals, and player props as the score and game situation change. If a favorite goes down 10 points early or a running back is getting more touches than expected, you can react without waiting for the next game.
Our pick for live betting is Bet365.
Same Game Parlays let you combine multiple picks from one football game into a single bet. You could take a team to win, its quarterback to throw for 250+ yards, and a receiver to score a touchdown, for example. Most major sportsbooks now have dedicated SGP builders, and some make it especially easy to browse player props and see how adding another leg changes your odds.
Our pick for same-game parlays is FanDuel Sportsbook.
Live streaming is still hit or miss for football, especially compared with sports like tennis or basketball. However, some sportsbooks stream select NFL and college football games directly in the app, while others provide live game trackers when video isn't available. It's a nice extra for keeping up with a bet, but shouldn't replace your normal Sunday viewing setup.
Our pick for football live streaming is DraftKings Sportsbook, thanks to BetVision.
The best football sportsbooks give you more than a long list of odds. Stats hubs can show recent results, team and player trends, injuries, matchup data, and other information without making you leave the sportsbook. They're especially handy when you're comparing player props or looking through a huge college football Saturday slate.
Our pick for a good stats hub is Hard Rock Bet.
Key Football Betting Markets
Moneylines, point spreads, and totals are the bread and butter of football betting. You can bet on who wins outright, whether a team covers the spread, or whether the two teams combine to score over or under a set number of points. Sportsbooks also offer alternate spreads and totals if you want to trade a tougher line for a bigger potential payout.
Our pick for basic game lines/totals bets is BetMGM.
Player props let you bet on individual performances rather than the final score. Passing yards, rushing yards, receptions, and anytime TD scorers are some of the most popular options during NFL games. College football props are becoming more common as well, although whether you can bet on them depends on the laws in your state.
Our pick for player props is FanDuel Sportsbook.
Futures are for bets that won't be decided today, and sometimes won't cash for months. Super Bowl and National Championship winners are the obvious ones. You can also bet on conference and division winners, playoff qualification, season win totals, and other season-long outcomes. The upside is usually bigger odds, but your money can be tied up for most of the season.
Our pick for football futures is Caesars Sportsbook.
Awards are a form of futures, but often have their own section. As the name suggests, these are bets on award winners for the NFL and college football. The main thing to look for in a sportsbook when it comes to betting on awards is whether it lets you parlay them. You can get really long odds when combining something like the Offensive & Defensive Rookie of the Year awards, for example.
Our pick for awards is Fanatics Sportsbook, since it has a designated tab specifically for parlaying awards.

Online College Football Betting
The NFL may be America's biggest betting league, but college football isn't far behind. In some parts of the country, Saturdays are every bit as important as Sundays. With games starting around noon and continuing late into the night, college football gives bettors a full day of action and far more matchups to choose from than the NFL.
The variety is part of what makes NCAA football so much fun to bet on. You can stick with major SEC and Big Ten matchups, bet on your local school, or find yourself sweating out a late-night game between two teams you barely knew existed a few hours earlier. The wider gaps in talent and different styles of play also create plenty of big spreads, high totals, and upset opportunities that you don't see as often at the professional level.
College Sports Betting Laws

There is one important difference between betting on college football and the NFL: the rules aren't always the same from state to state. Even in states with legal online sportsbooks, lawmakers can place additional restrictions on NCAA betting that don't apply to professional sports.
The two biggest restrictions involve in-state colleges and college player props. Some states limit or prohibit bets involving schools located within their borders, while others allow you to bet on the games but don't allow wagers on an individual college athlete's performance. Another restriction in some states is limiting action to pre-game only, meaning no live betting is available.
Of course, there are also states where no restrictions apply, and college football can be bet much like the NFL.
That makes your location especially important for NCAA betting. A market available to a bettor in one legal sports betting state may be completely unavailable to someone across the border. Our state-by-state table below breaks down where college football betting is legal and the restrictions you need to know before placing a bet.

More Ways to Bet on Football
Online sportsbooks are still not fully available nationwide, which leaves residents of over a dozen US states looking for somewhere to wager on sports.
Thankfully, there are now plenty of legal sportsbook alternatives to use almost anywhere. The main three options other than traditional sportsbooks are:
- Sports prediction markets
- Daily fantasy sports (DFS) / Pick'em
- Social sportsbooks
They all function a bit differently from each other, and operate under different laws, but still ultimately help you achieve the same goal. Whether you're trading a sports contract, cultivating your ultimate lineup, or redeeming virtual currency for real prizes, these are all options to help you get into the action.
Sports Prediction Markets
Sports prediction markets have quickly become one of the biggest alternatives to traditional football sportsbooks. Instead of placing a fixed-odds bet, you buy and sell contracts based on whether an outcome will happen. The price moves with the market, and you can sell your position before the result is final. For football bettors, you'll find many of the same basic markets, including game winners, spreads, totals, season win totals, playoff odds, and futures.
What really separates prediction markets from sportsbooks is how they're regulated. Sportsbooks are licensed by individual states as gambling operators, while prediction markets offer event contracts under federal oversight from the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). That distinction has allowed some prediction markets to operate in states without legal online sportsbooks, although several states are challenging whether sports contracts should be allowed under that model. For bettors, prediction markets can open the door to football picks in more places, but they generally don't offer the same depth of parlays and player props as a full sportsbook.

DFS / Pick'em Sites
Daily fantasy sports are largely to thank for the rise of legal sports betting. Both DraftKings & FanDuel began as DFS platforms before online sports betting was legalized in 2018.
DFS and pick'em sites offer a different type of football sportsbook alternative because the focus is primarily on individual players rather than game results. Traditional DFS involves drafting a lineup under a salary cap and competing against other users based on how those players perform. Pick'em apps simplify the idea even further, letting you choose whether players will go over or under statistical projections for things like passing yards, touchdowns, or receptions.
Pick'em is the format that feels closest to sports betting. Instead of betting a single player prop, you're generally required to combine two or more projections into one entry, making it similar to building a player prop parlay. The important distinction is that these contests are offered as fantasy sports rather than traditional sportsbook wagers, which has made DFS and pick'em apps available in many places where online sportsbooks aren't. For football fans who mostly bet player props anyway, it's one of the easiest alternatives to make the jump to.

Social sportsbooks are another alternative that can look surprisingly similar to a traditional football sportsbook. You'll still find familiar football picks like moneylines, spreads, totals, and sometimes player props, but the platforms use virtual currencies rather than wagering in dollars. Most also put more emphasis on playing with friends and other users, with features like leaderboards, shared picks, challenges, and social feeds.
The key difference is the sweepstakes model used by many social sportsbooks. You can typically play for free with one type of virtual coin, while a separate sweepstakes currency can be used on picks and redeemed for cash prizes. Because you aren't directly playing with deposited money or placing a traditional real-money wager, these platforms can operate in many states where online sportsbooks aren't legal. Some social sportsbooks use peer-to-peer models instead, but either way, the experience is generally built to recreate sports betting without operating as a traditional sportsbook.

Football Sportsbooks FAQ
We rank Fanatics Sportsbook as the best football sportsbook. It has the market depth expected from a major sportsbook, but features like Fair Play protection, FanCash rewards, NFL live streaming, and the ability to parlay many season-long futures help it stand out. FanDuel is a close second, particularly for NFL Same Game Parlays and college football.
Bet365 is one of our favorite sportsbooks for college football, especially for bettors who want to bet beyond the biggest Saturday games. Its live betting is excellent, and its futures menu goes much deeper than simply picking the national champion.
FanDuel is another strong option. It gives college football more attention than many competitors and carries markets for smaller games that can be harder to find elsewhere.
FanDuel and DraftKings are two of the strongest choices for football Same Game Parlays. FanDuel has tremendous NFL player-prop depth, while DraftKings gives bettors more tools for actually constructing their parlays. Dynamic Odds, GameScript, alternate player props, and Progressive Parlays make DraftKings particularly good for bettors who like to tinker with their picks instead of choosing a prebuilt SGP.
Bet365 is our top choice for live football betting. There are a lot of markets available after kickoff, and the sportsbook is quick to reopen lines as a game develops. Its Early Payout feature is another nice bonus because eligible football moneyline bets can be settled before the game officially ends if your team builds a large enough lead.
Yes. Football is one of the busiest times of year for sportsbook promotions. Welcome offers tend to get more attention around the beginning of the NFL and college football seasons, playoffs, and the Super Bowl, while existing users can find Profit Boosts, Odds Boosts, bet protection, contests, and other football-specific offers throughout the season.
One tip is to check the promotions tab before automatically placing a Saturday or Sunday bet. These offers change constantly, and a useful boost or protection offer can make one sportsbook a better choice for that particular weekend.
It depends on where you're located. Some legal sports betting states allow college football player props, while others prohibit them entirely or only allow them when no in-state college is involved.
So, the rules in your state may determine whether you can bet on a quarterback's passing yards even when betting on the game's spread and total is perfectly legal. That's why it's worth checking the state-by-state college football betting table rather than assuming the rules are the same as NFL props.
Start with odds and market depth, but don't stop there. Most major sportsbooks have spreads, totals, moneylines, props, and SGPs. The bigger differences come from how well those features are executed.
For football specifically, look at the depth of player props, alternate lines, live markets, SGP tools, football promotions, futures, stats, and how quickly you can find what you want on a busy Saturday or Sunday. Those differences are ultimately more useful than simply counting how many markets a sportsbook advertises.
Depending on your state, prediction markets, social sportsbooks, and DFS/pick'em apps can provide alternatives to traditional online sportsbooks. They don't all work the same way as a sportsbook, though, and availability can differ significantly by state.
They can be especially worth considering in places without legal online sportsbooks, but bettors should understand how each product works before treating it as a direct replacement for a traditional sportsbook.
