Connecticut Sports Betting
Once the Supreme Court struck down PASPA in 2018, each state was allowed to legalize online sports betting at their own discretion. Governor Ned Lamont signed a bill legalizing online betting in Connecticut in May 2021, with the legal sportsbooks going live in October 2021.
The Mashantucket Pequot and Mohegan tribes, along with the Connecticut state lottery, all have a part in running online betting operations in the state. All three of those entities are partnered up with a sportsbook, which is why there are so few in the state.
