13. TwinSpires

TwinSpires Indiana

Shutting Down Operations

Launched: 2019

Land-Based Partner: Rising Star Casino Resort

TwinSpires made its name in horse racing before launching its very own online sportsbook. TwinSpires was a solid sportsbook but is, unfortunately, shutting down sports betting and no longer accepting new players in Indiana. We recommend signing up with another book unless you exclusively want to bet on horse racing.

14. Unibet

Unibet Indiana

No Longer Available

After launching in the US and Canada, Unibet failed to gain much of a following. In 2024, they shuttered their North American operations, so we recommend checking out one of the operators listed above.

15. WynnBET

WynnBET Indiana

No Longer Available in Indiana

Launched: 2021

Land-Based Partner: Rising Stars Casino Resort

WynnBET was a solid sportsbook in Indiana for a few years. Unfortunately the compnay pulled out of a number of states in August 2023 - Indiana included.

16. MaximBet

MaximBet Indiana

Shut Down

MaximBet launched in Indiana in October 2022. Despite having a solid product, the sportsbook's parent company decided that the platform wasn't worth the investment in the end.

MaximBet officially stopped accepting bets in November 2022, less than two months after launching in the Hoosier State.

17. theScore Bet

theScore Bet Indiana

Shutdown Effective July 1st

Launched: 2020

Land-Based Partner: Ameristar Casino East Chicago

theScore Bet was a sportsbook offering from Canadian media company theScore. After operating an online sportsbook in the US for a handful of years, they announced that they would be shuttering their US operations to focus on the Canadian market, so bettors in Indiana would be better served signing up with another bookie.

Indiana Sports Betting

Until 2018, The Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act of 1992 (PASPA) banned placing wagers on most sports in the States, with a few exceptions for sports like horse racing, dog racing, and jai alai. When the Supreme Court struck down PASPA, the doors were open for states to institute their own rules and regulations regarding online sports betting.

On September 2019, Indiana officially launched legal online sports betting, paving the way for the betting sites you see listed here to set up shop. At the time, it was only the 13th state to make online sports betting readily available for public consumption and has become a popular landing spot for sportsbooks looking to make their mark in the midwest.

Offshore Sportsbooks

Indiana bettors have plenty of legit sportsbooks to utilize, so there's no need to tangle with any unregulated offshore betting sites.

At Sportsbooks Online, we've made a conscious decision to leave off these sportsbooks that some of our competitors have listed because we only include legal, licensed, and regulated sportsbooks that operate under Indiana jurisdiction on this page. So that means no offshore sportsbooks like Bovada, MyBookie, and BetUS.

We take the duty of making sure you have a safe and secure sports betting experience extremely seriously, so we strongly recommend using one of the legal online sportsbooks we have listed for you and not an offshore sportsbook.

New Indiana Sportsbooks

The newest sports betting site to launch in Indiana is Fanatics Sportsbook. Fanatics launched in February 2024, after completing the transition from PointsBet. Now, the Fanatics Sportsbook is available to Indiana bettors.

How did you rank all Indiana sportsbooks?

There are many different criteria upon which one can judge a sportsbook. In our reviews, we make sure to highlight the following criteria:

  • Bonus Offers - How valuable is the sign up bonus? Does this sportsbook offer promotions for existing customers or neglect you once your foot's in the door? This is an opportunity to get value, so thoroughly evaluating bonus and promotional offers are very important to determine the true value of a sportsbook.
  • Betting Variety - Does a sportsbook offer advanced ways to play like Same Game Parlays? How is the live betting? Can you access an online casino from your sports betting account? A sportsbook must satisfy the needs of many different types of players to be considered elite
  • Mobile Experience - How is the sportsbook's mobile app? Is it available on iPhone and Android? Most bets are placed via a mobile device these days, so this is a major element of any sportsbook's overall experience.
  • Betting Experience - How does a sportsbook feel? Is the website or app laggy? Does it feel laggy, messy, or outdated? You want to make sure you'll actually have fun on a betting site, not frustrated by your time on the book.
  • Payment Options - How many payment options are available? How long do payouts take? Are there minimum requirements for payments and withdrawals? If you want to be secure with your hard-earned money, then this is a crucial element of any sportsbook.
  • Customer Support - If an issue arises, will you be able to easily get in contact with customer support? Is it hard to get in contact with an actual person? Hopefully, you won't need it but having a spare tire in your trunk never hurts.
