During this review process, we were pleasantly surprised with MaximBet time and time again. Does it live up to the high highs of top-tier competitors like DraftKings or FanDuel? It would be a little disingenuous to say that the amount of betting markets and features offered on MaximBet sore quite that high.

MaximBet offers a really robust slate of promotions for a relative neophyte in the betting game, that left me impressed during the review process.

At the time of this writing, MaximBet is only legal in the state of Colorado. However, that will certainly change by the end of 2022, with many more states on the on-deck circle for one of the most exciting up-and-coming sportsbooks in the country.

During my time with the MaximBet app, I was pleasantly surprised. For a sportsbook so early in its lifecycle, MaximBet seems to have the basics down better than many of its competitors.

The MaximBet app is super smartly designed and navigation is very easy, meaning that even an inexperienced bettor will have little-to-no difficulty finding the wagers they want. Live betting flows very smoothly on mobile with odds and game tracking updated relatively quickly.

It's not all sunshine and rainbows, though. When navigating between different menus, there can be a bit of a lag. Not too much, but it's worth mentioning. Additionally, some users have reported being logged off frequently, which can be a pain in the neck.

For Android users, you have the added inconvenience of having to download an APK file, as the MaximBet app is not available on Google Play. Not the end of the world, but an extra step in the process is never too fun.

Overall, the positives of the MaximBet app far outweigh the negatives based on my experience. Many sportsbooks on similar levels - your WynnBets and BetRivers for example - haven't quite nailed down an elite mobile betting experience, despite having a bit more time to grow than MaximBet.

Does the MaximBet app reach the levels of top dogs like FanDuel and Caesars Sportsbook? No. But for being a relatively small bookie right now, MaximBet is off to a tremendous start.

There are a few niche sports and international leagues missing, but overall this is a really nice slate of sports betting options for a relatively new bookie. As a baseball nerd, I particularly enjoyed the Korean and Japanese baseball league betting options. Live betting KBO games in the middle of the night were the highlight of my MaximBet experience (yes, I'm a degenerate).

Unfortunately, what you can do within each individual game is also a bit limited. I'm a sucker for a same game parlay, so the lack of same game parlay or bet builder options hurt my experience. I would have loved to take the over on Steph Curry's point total in Game 1 of the finals with the Warriors win, but I had to resort to using a different sportsbook for that bet. Although I did lose that bet, so maybe I should have stuck to MaximBet.

As I mentioned before, I had a great time live betting with MaximBet during the review process. It doesn't have the live streaming capabilities you'll find on Bet365 or BetMGM, so I can't say it's the best out there but I think most users will be happy live betting on the MaximBet app.

All in all, MaximBet's live betting was a delightfully simple experience that I enjoyed a whole lot. Live game tracking was really solid and made it quite easy to get my bets in as the game rolled on.

Not a gamechanger by any means, but another notch in the plus column for MaximBet.

At the time of this writing, MaximBet does not have an online casino. This makes sense, as they are only active in Colorado, where online casino gaming is not legal.

However, MaximBet will be launching an online casino at some point in 2022. With market access already secured in states like New Jersey and Pennsylvania, where online casino gaming is legal, it's only a matter of time.

We look forward to expanding on this section in the future as MaximBet continues to expand its services to the iGaming frontier.

Unfortunately, banking is an area that MaximBet will need to improve as it continues to evolve as a product.

Right now, the deposit options are solid enough, but there is only one option for withdrawing your money - bank transfers. This is an issue that would be easily solved by adding PayPal, which is sorely missing right now, and a major disadvantage MaximBet has in the marketplace.

It's more convenient to use PayPal and many consumers want a middleman between their bank and betting accounts for safety purposes, so adding PayPal as a banking option would help out MaximBet a lot.

We found MaximBet has reliable and supportive customer service. I personally tested out the 24/7 live chat during our review process and found it to be more than satisfactory, providing quick and accurate questions to just about every question I was throwing at them.

We do lament the lack of a dedicated phone line for customer service, but all-in-all, MaximBet's live chat rises well above the average.
