Fanatics Markets Review
Fanatics has entered the prediction market space with Fanatics Markets, a standalone platform that lets users trade on the outcomes of sports and other real-world events. In this review, we'll walk through how the product works, what sets it apart from Fanatics Sportsbook, and how you can use it to get involved in event-based markets. We’ll also take a closer look at the overall experience, including available promotions, deposit and withdrawal options, app usability, customer support, and more.
Since Sportsbooks Online primarily covers sports betting, we'll concentrate on Fanatics Markets sports offerings and evaluate how they stack up against traditional sportsbooks, pick'em apps, and other prediction market platforms. Let’s start with the basics and break down exactly how Fanatics Markets works.
What Is Fanatics Markets?
Fanatics is best known as a global leader in licensed sports merchandise, but in recent years, the company has made a major push into the sports betting space with the launch of Fanatics Sportsbook. Built in part from its acquisition of PointsBet's US operations, Fanatics Sportsbook has quickly grown into a recognizable option for bettors across myriad states, offering a more traditional wagering experience alongside its expansive sports ecosystem.
With interest in prediction markets continuing to grow — and regulators like the CFTC playing a key role in shaping the space — Fanatics has expanded further by introducing Fanatics Markets. This new platform brings the Fanatics brand into the event trading world, giving users another way to engage with sports by taking positions on outcomes in a format that differs from standard sportsbook betting.

Example markets for Fanatics Markets users
If you're hoping to use Fanatics Markets for sports-related action, the overall experience will feel somewhat familiar if you've used a traditional sportsbook with a few key differences. Instead of odds being set by a bookmaker, prices in Fanatics Markets are driven by user activity. Each outcome is assigned a value based on how likely the market believes it is to happen, and those prices shift in real time as more users buy into one side or the other.
Rather than placing standard bets, you’re buying and selling contracts tied to specific outcomes. Because of that structure, there isn't a built-in house edge in the form of traditional sportsbook juice. In essence, you're trading against other users in the market, which can create a more dynamic pricing environment and, in some cases, better value depending on how the market moves.
What Are Prediction Markets?
Platforms like FanDuel Predicts and DraftKings Predictions have helped bring prediction markets into the mainstream in the US, aided in part by ongoing oversight from regulators like the CFTC that has allowed these exchanges to operate across state lines. At their core, prediction markets let users take positions on the likelihood of real-world events, ranging from financial indicators and economic data to entertainment, politics, and beyond.
That wide scope has also sparked debate, as some markets touch on sensitive or controversial topics. At Sportsbooks Online, our primary interest is how these platforms apply to sports. From that perspective, prediction markets can function as an alternative to traditional betting, offering a more market-driven approach where pricing is shaped by users rather than set by oddsmakers, and without the typical built-in house edge.
With that framework in mind, we'll evaluate Fanatics Markets using many of the same criteria we apply to sportsbooks. First up, we'll take a look at the mobile experience, including the app's design, usability, and what early users are saying.
Fanatics Markets App Review
As of now, Fanatics Markets is still a relatively new product, so it's fair to view the mobile app as a work in progress. While Fanatics Sportsbook has had more time to refine its platform, Fanatics Markets is still building toward that same level of polish and consistency.
That said, the early returns are more encouraging than what we've seen from some competing prediction market apps. User feedback has been quite positive in most user reviews, and in our testing, the app runs smoothly without glitches or lagging. Navigation is generally responsive, with only occasional minor delays as markets load or update in real time.
From a design standpoint, Fanatics Markets will feel familiar to anyone who has used Fanatics Sportsbook. The layout is clean, modern, and easy to follow, with a logical structure that makes browsing different markets fairly intuitive. It doesn't reinvent the wheel visually, but it doesn’t need to — the interface gets the job done without feeling cluttered.

Snapshot of the Fanatics Markets app
One of the biggest advantages here is the shared wallet between Fanatics Markets and Fanatics Sportsbook. If you already have a Fanatics account, you can use the same login and access a single pool of funds across both platforms, which makes moving between traditional betting and prediction markets much more seamless. The one drawback is that FanCash, a popular rewards feature on the sportsbook side, can’t currently be used within Fanatics Markets.
Like other platforms in this space, Fanatics Markets also gives users some flexibility in how information is displayed. Depending on your preference, you can view pricing in a format that feels closer to traditional betting odds or in a more market-style format that emphasizes probabilities and potential returns.
Next, we’ll dig into user feedback and take a closer look at what players are saying about the Fanatics Markets app so far.

Sometimes can't find the location and it can be frustrating but other than that once you hit submit on the order it goes through very quickly. Also love how it connected with the Sportsbook app as well

This is a very good gambling app. Very easy to use. I also like that you can place bets on things like the Oscars in addition to sports. And the user interface is super simple.

Glitchy, will definitely at some point give you one set of odds at a certain line, then switch as you are booking it, always to the worse for you. The system literally blocks a booking if it gets better for you, allows it through if it gets worse, think about that.

The app and registration was very easy no problems on the registration, the interface it self looks smooth and the betting structure looks very user friendly looks like a winner 🏆 🥇
One of the best features of Fanatics Sportsbook is that they allow users to play with FanCash. Users can earn FanCash through promotions that award bonus bets, but crucially, anyone who purchases merchandise from Fanatics earns FanCash that can be wagered. It's unfortunate that FanCash isn't available for trading on Fanatics Markets, and is something Fanatics Sportsbook users should be aware of before trying their prediction market app.
Sports Betting Features on Fanatics Markets
Fanatics Markets offers a sports-focused experience that will feel familiar in some ways, but it doesn't try to replicate everything you'd find on a traditional sportsbook. Instead of a massive menu of bets, the platform centers around straightforward markets tied to game outcomes, player performances, and futures, all structured as tradeable contracts rather than traditional wagers.
You won't find the same depth as Fanatics Sportsbook — things like expansive same-game parlays, alternate lines, or heavily customized props are limited or absent. The focus here is more on core markets, where users can take positions on spreads, totals, and select player or team outcomes. It's a simpler offering overall, but one that aligns with how prediction markets are designed to function.

Sports betting features on Fanatics Markets
One area where Fanatics Markets stands out is its always-open trading style. Contracts can be bought and sold throughout the course of a game, with prices continuously updating based on how the action unfolds. This creates a live, fluid experience that mirrors live betting, even if it doesn’t look exactly like a traditional live odds screen.
Another key feature is the ability to exit positions at any point. Rather than waiting for a final result, users can sell their contracts early, locking in profit or cutting losses as market prices shift. It’s a built-in mechanic of prediction markets and serves a similar purpose to the cash-out option found on many sportsbooks.
If you're looking for a highly detailed betting menu with niche markets and packaged bets, Fanatics Sportsbook is still the better fit. But if you're interested in a more streamlined, market-driven approach — one without the typical sportsbook vig — Fanatics Markets provides a solid alternative for engaging with sports.
Some prediction markets like Kalshi permit parlay betting on sports markets — Kalshi calls these "combos" in order to stay compliant with sports betting laws. However, on Fanatics Markets, you cannot combine picks for longer odds. If you select one market and then select another, your betslip will simply adjust from your first pick to your second. Just a heads up!
Getting Started on Fanatics Markets
Ready to create an account on Fanatics Markets? There are just a few steps you'll need to complete, and they're typical requirements for a prediction market or sports betting app. Once you download the mobile app, choose a username and password or log in with the credentials you use from another Fanatics product if applicable.
After you've initiated the account creation process, Fanatics Markets will ask you a handful of questions about your financial background and trading experience, a practice that they say allows them to avoid fraud and remain compliant with betting laws.
Once you've created an account and submitted your answers to Fanatics' questions about your background, you're all set to start making picks, predictions and wagers. Fanatics Markets features this helpful guide on their website that serves as a quick overview of how to trade contracts on their mobile app:

Promotions & Rewards on Fanatics Markets
While Fanatics Sportsbook has one of the best welcome offers and rewards system in general among sportsbooks in the US, prediction markets tend to shy away from promotions and rewards, and Fanatics Markets is no different.
At the time of this writing, Fanatics Markets does have a welcome offer that gives users $100 to trade with if they buy $5 in contracts. This is a March Madness promotion for Fanatics and won't be around for long, but it does signify that Fanatics Markets is willing to offer a welcome bonus around marquee sporting events.
Other than that, there's not much to say here — because there's no "house" and therefore no "vig," Fanatics Markets doesn't feel that promotions are a valuable way to attract customers. The section of their app that would typically house promotional offers simply advertises markets available for trading. If promotions and rewards are what attract you most to a betting app, Fanatics Markets and prediction markets in general may not be for you.
Sports Available on Fanatics Markets
As we've noted in a few sections in this review of Fanatics Markets, simplicity is the name of the game for the platform right now. That extends to their offering of markets available for trading on, meaning that the sports they've made available for predictions don't comprise as comprehensive a list as some users might like.
The four major sports are represented, though, both in professional and college leagues. Tons of soccer leagues in both the US and abroad are available as well. Fanatics Markets may also have more sports available seasonally, but for now, it's a short list.
Here's a look at the sports and other markets available on Fanatics Markets:

Where Is Fanatics Markets Available?
While prediction markets are typically available in all 50 states and US territories — this changes on a state-by-state basis very frequently these days — Fanatics Markets takes a different approach to their state availability. FanDuel Predicts and DraftKings Predictions, for example, are both available in every state and territory, but simply don't allow trades on sports in states where sports trading is not legal.
Fanatics Markets, on the other hand, is only available in states where trading on sports is legal. This is a bold move, and frankly one that we're impressed with. Fanatics is a sports brand and isn't sacrificing their identity to make their prediction market app more widely available. Instead, they've decided that the Fanatics Markets experience must include sports — so it's only available in 25+ states and territories instead of all 50 states.

Payment Options on Fanatics Markets
Fanatics Markets offers a fairly standard set of banking options, giving users access to several popular and easy-to-use deposit methods. You can add funds to your account using debit cards, online bank transfers, Apple Pay, or wire transfers, providing a mix of quick payment solutions and options suited for larger transactions.
One of the standout features here is Apple Pay, which makes depositing especially fast and convenient for mobile users. It’s not a universal option across prediction market platforms, so its presence is a definite plus and helps streamline the overall experience. Online banking serves as a dependable method for direct transfers from your bank account, while debit cards remain a simple and familiar choice for most users. Wire transfers round out the list, offering a way to move bigger sums, though they typically come with longer processing times and potential bank fees.
All in all, Fanatics Markets delivers a clean and user-friendly banking setup that covers the essentials, with Apple Pay helping to elevate the experience a bit beyond the basics.

- Debit Card
- Visa

Customer Support on Fanatics Markets
Before using any prediction market app or online sportsbook, users should make sure they're comfortable with the customer service options available. Why is this important? Well, stuff happens. Because you're dealing with a mobile app that connects to banks, accepts and delivers cash, and constantly updates odds and probabilities, even the best betting apps occasionally present issues for bettors.
One unique way that Fanatics Markets aims to help its users is with the Help Center in their mobile app.

The Fanatics Markets Help Center
The information in the Help Center is helpful, but mostly elementary information that may not help everyone in a pinch. The fact that Fanatics Markets also doesn't include a chat feature — even an AI one — is telling. There are no ways advertised on their app to communicate with agents or to reach out with questions. The customer service options on Fanatics Sportsbook are as strong as any US sportsbook, so their lack of customer support on their prediction market app is concerning.
