NBA Draft #2 Overall Pick Player Odds

The Utah Jazz entered the 2026 NBA Draft lottery hoping to land the No. 1 pick, but they'll still have a chance to add a potential franchise cornerstone after securing the No. 2 overall selection. With several elite prospects at the top of this year's class, speculation has already begun about which direction Utah will go on draft night.

The Jazz are still in the early stages of their rebuild, which gives them the flexibility to target the best player available rather than drafting strictly for need.

While the final decision won't be made until draft night, the markets and draft experts have already started to form a consensus on the most likely outcome.

We decided to break down the top 3 most likely players to be selected at #2 overall according to Kalshi.

Darryn Peterson

Peterson has steadily gained momentum throughout the draft process and now appears to be the most likely player available when the Jazz are on the clock. The Kansas guard is one of the most polished offensive players in the class, capable of creating his own shot while also functioning as a primary playmaker.

Unlike Cameron Boozer, Peterson offers more upside as a perimeter creator, which is something Utah's roster still lacks. The Jazz have several promising young players, but they don't currently have a clear offensive centerpiece they can build around long-term.

Another factor working in Peterson's favor is the uncertainty surrounding the No. 1 pick. Most expect Washington to select AJ Dybantsa, leaving Peterson as the consensus second-best option on many draft boards. If Dybantsa goes first as expected, Peterson could become the easiest decision of the night for Utah.

The Jazz are still searching for a future star to lead their rebuild, and Peterson is a very appealing candidate to fill that role.

Cameron Boozer

Selecting Boozer would certainly make many fans in Utah happy. Not only would they be getting a very good player, but also the son of one of their franchise legends.

Cameron Boozer's Duke career may have been cut short in the NCAA tournament, but he is definitely one of the most NBA-ready players in the draft.

While other prospects have more potential, Boozer is a low-risk, high-floor prospect. Unlike the other two players on this list, Boozer will certainly be available at #2. The Jazz have certainly done their scouting on the power forward, and there is a good chance he ends up being the selection come draft night.

AJ Dybantsa

This would be a dream scenario for the Jazz. While Dybantsa is the clear favorite to be selected #1 by the Wizards, there have been rumors that he would like to play elsewhere. While the rumors have mostly been shut down, if Washington believes there is any truth to them, they could go with Peterson instead.

Dybansta played his college ball at BYU, so staying in Utah would be like home for the 6'9" forward. He is probably the best player in the draft, but not by as wide a margin as in many drafts with a clear-cut #1 pick.

If he does fall past Washington, the Jazz will have no hesitation in picking him at 2, and feel like they were given a gift their franchise badly needs.
