Sweden's Odds in the World Cup

Sweden is a massive long shot to win the 2026 World Cup. Looking beyond the outright winner market, are there any Sweden-related futures that look more interesting, such as qualification from the group, or reaching the knockout stage?
Sweden has been drawn into a very tough group, so from a betting perspective, it's actually the odds on not advancing that are more interesting.
That said, Sweden also has a strong squad that hasn't fully gelled yet. I think they could grow into the tournament. If they can just make it out of the group, there's a good chance they could get through the Round of 32 and even the Round of 16.
Still, I probably wouldn't be comfortable betting on those outright progression markets.

Are there any match or group-stage markets where you think Sweden could offer value, even if they are unlikely to make a deep run?
I think Sweden's best chance of producing a standout performance is against the Netherlands. They're the toughest opponent in the group, but Sweden prefers to sit deep and play on the counterattack.
Historically, Sweden has also tended to produce their best performances against stronger teams. I think they'll take at least a point there, at odds of +125.
Against Japan, I don't think Sweden will have much of an answer, and against Tunisia, there's a real risk of a 0–0 draw.
Sweden's Goalscorer Odds

Alexander Isak and Viktor Gyökeres both are long shots to win the Golden Boot at +8000 and +6500, respectively. Do any goalscorer, assist, or team top scorer markets stand out to you?
Isak isn't quite back to full match fitness yet, and a lot of Sweden's attacking play is about getting the ball to Gyökeres. He's also taking free kicks and penalties now. There are odds of +175 on Gyökeres finishing as Sweden's top scorer, which looks very appealing.
I find it hard to see anyone other than those two scoring more than one goal, and my pick would definitely be Viktor.
As for the tournament Golden Boot, I'd rather look at players from teams with a realistic chance of reaching the final, Mbappé, Kane, or perhaps Oyarzabal.
Sweden's Prop Markets

What prop bets or futures are most interesting to Swedish bettors right now? Are there any specific markets standing out?
Among the futures markets, I really like Viktor Gyökeres to finish as Sweden's top scorer.
Another interesting option could be Sweden ending the group stage with exactly two points, drawing against both Tunisia and the Netherlands. That's available at around +1000.
The Swedish Fan's Perspective

Where do you think international bettors might misread Sweden from an odds perspective either underrating or overrating them? Is there hidden value to be found?
Sweden scraped into the tournament and arguably didn't fully deserve their place. There are still plenty of question marks, especially on defense.
There's a risk that the team performs worse than people expect when they see stars like Isak and Gyökeres.
Unfortunately, I think Sweden is slightly overrated at the moment. Odds of 2.62 on Sweden not advancing from the group look pretty good to me.
And with that, we wrap up our World Cup preview series! A huge thanks to Jonas from Bettingstugan, and all of our other colleagues who contributed along the way!
