England's Odds to Win the World Cup

England flies across the Atlantic among the favorites, with odds of around +650. What do you make of that projection? Are they overhyped or is it coming home?
Bookmakers in the UK, for instance, have always priced England at shorter odds to counter the potential losses if they ever won, and this year I feel the same. They are a good side that has reached two successive Euros finals. The defense looks a little fragile, in my humble opinion, but I still feel they should be rated.
Harry Kane's Odds to Win the Golden Boot

Harry Kane is one of the leading contenders to win the Golden Boot, with odds of around +700. At age 32, should he still be rated so highly?
Harry Kane scored 64 goals in 56 matches for Bayern Munich this year, so despite his age, he isn't slowing down any time soon. If England plays to his strengths, he can win the Golden Boot and potentially the Golden Ball too.
England's Prop Markets

Which prop bets or futures markets look most interesting to you right now? Are there any specific markets that stand out?
Two markets stand out from where I sit. One is England's Stage of Elimination, which sees a Round of 16 exit as a surprising favorite.
England to be eliminated on penalties prop bet always trends over here as well, thanks to England's historic woes in penalty shootouts.
The English Fan's Perspective

Are there any specific narratives English bettors are following in the run-up to the tournament? What insight can you give us into the fans’ mindset?
There was a lot of discussion over some surprising absentees from the final squad, with Phil Foden (Man City), Cole Palmer (Chelsea), and Harry Maguire (Man United) among those left out, so there has been some negativity surrounding the manager's picks.
The other concerns are more temperature-based, and if the players can handle the heat, as on this side of the pond, our weather tends to be damp and mild!

Where do you think international bettors might misunderstand this England team?
Many international bettors probably watch the English Premier League, but to expect the gung-ho, high-octane performances seen there is a mistake. The England national team has a more nuanced and balanced approach on the international stage, and tends to start a tournament slowly, so my advice would be to initially be "over-cautious" when backing England, especially on Over/Under bets.
