BetMGM's offerings are highlighted by its mobile app available on iPhone and Android. This New York sports betting app features a super sleek design, is easy to pick up and use, and has some nice mobile features.

We will say that we ran into some lag when we were switching through pages on this app. It's not a dealbreaker, but it is worth noting as it could cost you a live bet down the line.

All in all, the BetMGM app promises a top-flight experience for New York bettors. The BetMGM app is available on the App Store and Google Play. It currently holds a rating of 4.8/5 on the App Store

WynnBET has established itself nationwide as a very all-around solid bookmaker. There may not be a lot to blow you away, but WynnBET does a lot of the little things right in a style-over-substance manner. You can call it the Andre Iguodala of New York sports betting apps.

One major area where we knocked the WynnBET app in our review was the fact that they offered different apps for different states. So if you live in New Jersey, but commute to New York for work or social events, you'll have to download two separate apps to keep the action alive on the go. It may seem like a minor inconvenience, but it hurts the overall experience and is a big reason why we have the WynnBET app rated near the bottom of the totem pole.

Closing out the list, we have BetRivers. While we think BetRivers is a solid sportsbook, you may have some better options available to you.

You can live stream some events, like select NHL games and the French Open directly through the BetRivers app. This is a boon for any sportsbook and shouldn't be overlooked here.

Unfortunately, there are also some downsides to the BetRivers mobile experience. Similar to WynnBET, you must download different apps to wager in each BetRivers state. Again, not the worst thing in the world, but still a definite minus. We also found the BetRivers app to be a bit clunky in its design and noticed a fair bit of lag. These are pretty significant demerits as they directly hinder the user experience.

New York bettors could certainly do worse than BetRivers, but it still leaves a bit to be desired. The BetRivers app is available on the App Store and Google Play. It currently holds a rating of 3.5/5 on the App Store
