ClutchBet Review

From major Australian betting brand BlueBet, ClutchBet arrived stateside in 2022. Users in Iowa, Colorado, and Louisiana have been greeted to a solid sportsbook that checked most of the major boxes users are looking for.

During my time working with ClutchBet sportsbook, I found plenty of great options for betting on major sports like the NFL and NBA. In particular, the unique ClutchClash system was a revelation, especially for NBA betting.

Unique features for Iowa bettors, such as promotions for the University of Iowa and Iowa State made the limited-state focus feel justified in the early stages of the US expansion.

The mobile app was far from perfect during my experience, with some noticeable lag occasionally hindering things. Hopefully, this improves a bit as ClutchBet grows.

Also, there were not many niche sports to choose from, which could disservice serious bettors.

On the bright side, there is no minimum withdrawal requirement on ClutchBet. Some major sportsbooks require as much as a $20 minimum withdrawal, so this was a breath of fresh air.

This, combined with the solid betting features for major sports, make ClutchBet a phenomenal option for casual bettors looking to avoid the major sportsbooks.

ClutchBet is currently only available in Colorado, Iowa, and Louisiana.

While ClutchBet is still a relative newcomer to the US betting scene, it makes sense that it doesn't really compete with the likes of DraftKings and FanDuel quite yet. However, ClutchBet is a really great alternative for users that already have accounts with major books or are looking to avoid them for whatever reason.

While ClutchBet may not have the longest list of sports to bet on, what is available has plenty of features to back them up.

On the other hand, baseball, soccer, and hockey bettors may feel a little left out in the cold with these features missing. In the future, we hope that these features are expanded to bettors of all major sports.

Additionally, there aren't too many niche sports available on ClutchBet. It's not like darts or table tennis are major betting markets, but avid users will miss out on these sports.

A unique selling point of ClutchBet Sportsbook is the one-of-a-kind ClutchClash.

This is a system that allows you to make head-to-head parlay bets based on the big match-ups in a given game. For example, if the Lakers are playing the Bucks, you can bet on whether Giannis or Lebron will have the most points, rebounds, assists, or most other counting stats provided you make a choice for at least three of the available markets.

Unfortunately, ClutchClash is only available for football and basketball betting for the time being. We hope this feature gets added to the baseball, hockey, and soccer markets sooner rather than later.

They have a customer service option for just about every complaint you can have, highlighted by the reliability of a 24/7 live chat via the Clutchbet website and app.

On the downside, the FAQ section of the ClutchBet website has some outdated information and is fairly limited in the questions it's answering. A good FAQ can be a first line of defense against customers having to reach out via live chat, email, or phone, so this area should be improved.
