Injury protection and prop protect promotions are becoming more popular across the board for US sportsbooks. And for Bet365 users, the fact that there is no opt-in required means you won't miss out on Prop Protect because you forgot to click a button — you'll automatically get protected with Bonus Bets if your player gets hurt.
Here's how Bet365's Prop Protect works:
- Applicable to any pre-game or live NFL, NBA, NHL, MLB or WNBA bet placed on a market within "Player Props" on the list.
- For straight bets, if a player you have backed is ruled out due to injury before the time specified in the list below, we will return your wager as Bonus Bets, provided the outcome has not already been determined.
- Where a selection is part of a parlay, Same Game Parlay or Same Game Parlay +, the bet will be recalculated for the remaining selections and left to run. Any subsequent returns from the recalculated parlay, Same Game Parlay or Same Game Parlay + will be paid as Bonus Bets.
Note: Opt-in is not required for this promotion; Prop Protect is automatically applied to all eligible prop bets and parlays including props.
The following sports are eligible for Bet365 Prop Protect, with the associated time period indicating when a bettor can expect their prop bet to bet protected:
- NFL - End of 1st Half
- NBA - End of 1st Half
- WNBA - End of 1st Half
- NHL - End of 1st Period
- MLB (Pitcher) - A pitcher starts the game and throws at least one pitch, then leaves the game with an injury before recording three outs.
- MLB (Batter) - A batter starts the game and records at least one plate appearance, then leaves the game with an injury before the start of their second plate appearance.
The following bet types are not eligible for Bet365 Prop Protect:
- Bets placed on hypothetical, look ahead, or pre-season games
- Any bets placed on specials
- Bets placed using Bonus Bets

Description of Promotion
Prop Protect applies to pre-game or Live selections.
Prop Protect applies to player prop markets for any game from the NFL, NBA, NHL, MLB or WNBA. For straight bets, if the player you have backed is ruled out due to injury before the time specified in the table above, your wager will be returned as Bonus Bets.
Where a selection on any NFL, NBA, NHL, MLB or WNBA, player prop market is part of a parlay, Same Game Parlay or Same Game Parlay+ and the player you have backed is ruled out due to injury before the time specified in the table above, the relevant selection will be deemed no action and the bet will be recalculated on remaining selections and any subsequent returns paid out in Bonus Bets.
If a selection within a parlay, Same Game Parlay, or Same Game Parlay+ bet qualifies for Prop Protect and is combined with selections from other sports outside of the NFL, NBA, NHL, MLB or WNBA, the remaining selections will be recalculated with revised odds and any subsequent returns paid out in Bonus Bets.
If the outcome of your selection has already been determined before your selected player is ruled out due to injury, or your selection goes on to be a winner, then Prop Protect will not apply and your bet will be settled in line with our rules.
Promotion Period
This promo is available from Tuesday, June 30, 2026 at 12:00 PM ET.
This will apply to bets placed up to and including Thursday, December 31, 2026. In the event of this being withdrawn prior to the stated date, at least 30 days' notice will be provided.
Eligibility
This promo is only available to customers aged 21+ (18+ in Kentucky). You must be physically located in the state of Arizona, Colorado, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana (permitted parishes only), Maryland, Michigan, Michigan, Missouri, New Jersey, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, or Virginia in order to make a deposit or place a bet.
Prop Protect is only available to new and eligible customers. You can see a full list of your available promos by logging in and selecting the "Promos" section on the mobile app or on desktop. bet365 maintains a record of customer contact in relation to eligibility for promos and this record, including the date and time of any restrictions being imposed, will be final in the event of any dispute.
This offer is not available to individuals who are on an exclusion list.
