2026 World Series Betting Odds
The 2026 World Series begins on Friday, October 23 in Milwaukee. The Brewers claimed the NL pennant with a dominant sweep of the Dodgers, while the Rays ousted the Guardians in six games to win the AL. Now, two of the most analytically-driven and fundamental teams in MLB will battle it out to decide who's the best of the best in 2026.
On this page, we'll break down the current betting odds on prediction markets, focusing on Kalshi's trading odds on top markets like World Series champion, MVP, game-by-game odds and more.

Why focus on Kalshi's trading odds? While traditional online sportsbooks obviously feature similar betting odds and prices to wager on similar markets, prediction markets with the highest liquidity offer an accurate portrayal of how the public is backing each side of a particular market. It's good to know that the Brewers are -180 to win the World Series, but in our view, it's more helpful to know that 63% of people using Kalshi think Milwaukee will win it all.
Let's start by diving in to the prediction market odds for each team to win the World Series.
World Series Champion Betting Odds
One of the biggest perks of this year's World Series is that it features the team who had the best record in each league. The Brewers won 103 games, three more than any other NL team, while the Rays' 98 wins was five higher than any other team in the AL. Another added perk to this year's matchup is that the mid-market matchup immediately lowered the odds that MLB owners will lock out the players this offseason — but let's focus on the actual games before they're potentially taken away from us.
Here are the current Kalshi trading odds for each team to win the World Series:
As you can see, the Brewers are clearly favored to win the series, holding more than a 35% advantage over the Rays. The logic here isn't too difficult to parse: Not only did the Brewers lead MLB in wins; they've dominated throughout the postseason, sweeping a Dodgers team most fans thought was unbeatable, and they also have the best starting pitcher in the world right now in Jacob Misiorowski.
But if anything, these trading odds offer a solid opportunity to back the Rays with some value. Junior Caminero may very well be the best position player on the field in this series, and they have a ton of depth both in their starting rotation and bullpen. Betting against the Brewers may not be the safest play, but the added value that comes with betting on the underdog Rays creates some interesting betting opportunities on this year's World Series.
Betting Odds for Each World Series Game
Unlike most traditional sports betting apps, Kalshi and other prediction markets are already offering odds on each of the first four games. Most bettors will focus on Game 1 and may not want to put money on subsequent games until they've seen how the first matchup plays out, but game-by-game odds to offer a glimpse into how the public sees this series playing out over the course of four or more games.
If you're scanning the game-by-game betting odds for the World Series, you'll notice that the odds stop after Game 4. That's because Games 5-7 are all pending, as a sweep would end the series in four games. If the Brewers and Rays each win one of the first two games, for example, a fifth game will be required to win a best-of-seven series, and Game 5 odds would then become available.
At the time of this writing, the Rays haven't yet officially announced a starting pitcher for Friday night's Game 1. However, staff ace Drew Rasmussen is expected to take the hill for Tampa to begin the series. On the other side, there's no question about who's taking the ball for Milwaukee — it's Jacob Misiorowski, and he's the reason for lopsided betting odds in Game 1.
If you've watched the playoffs at all this year — Rays games, in particular — you know that pitching matchups can get tossed out the window very early on in a series. Pitch counts and rest days are still crucial for player safety and effectiveness, but with this being the final series of the year, there's no reason to keep a starting pitcher on a routine schedule when he might help you win a pivotal World Series game.
For that reason, the odds for Games 2-4 aren't tied as much to starting pitching matchups that may be in flux; instead, home field advantage is a much more important factor in the evolving betting odds for each game.
Because Milwaukee had more wins than Tampa Bay during the regular season, they've been given home field advantage during this series. That means they'll host the first two games at American Family Field before the teams head to The Trop in Tampa Bay, where the Rays will host Games 3-5. Games 6 and 7 will then be played back in Milwaukee should they be necessary.
The first thing to note when scanning the game-by-game betting odds for the World Series is trading volume — nearly $400,000 have been traded on Game 1, for example, with only $14,000 on Game 2 and even less on Games 3 and 4. While we can guess which starting pitchers will face off in the matchups following Game 1, we don't know for sure, so bettors are smartly staying away until the first game is played.
Some key information that's revealed in these odds, though, includes how much of a role home field advantage plays in affecting the trading odds. Tampa Bay is currently favored to win Game 3 at home after trailing in the odds for Games 1 and 2 by double digits.
Finally, the Misiorowski factor is very real. For the Brewers to have more than 60% odds to beat the Rays in Game 1 is noteworthy given how solid Tampa has been this season. It's also worth noting that The Miz has gone 4.0 and 4.1 innings respectively in each of his playoff starts thus far. This creates yet another opportunity to back the Rays with some value, as a World Series game is not likely to be determined by a starter who can't make it through the fifth inning.
Games 3 and 4 have very little betting volume so far, so the betting odds on these games is arguably less trustworthy than the odds for the first two games. It is worth noting, though, that the Rays come in as the favorites to win Game 3 despite being underdogs in every other game. This is likely due to traders believing they'll have some extra pep in their step for their first home World Series game since the COVID-shortened 2020 season, but it also may be considering the Rays' starting pitching depth as compared to the Brewers' starters who aren't named Misiorowski.
We'll continue to scan the World Series odds for each game on Kalshi and other prediction markets once the series begins, so make sure to visit this page throughout the series for updated game-by-game odds. But for now, with only the first four games of the series being a certainty, markets for Games 5-7 have not yet been made available on Kalshi.
World Series MVP Betting Odds
One of the most popular World Series bets each year, whether on traditional sportsbooks or prediction markets, is on which player will win the MVP. One reason why it's such a popular market is because any player is eligible to win MVP, and just about every starting pitcher and position player has a legitimate shot to take home the award if they get hot and make a big impact on the series.
For that reason, the most likely MVP winners aren't even particularly close to having even odds — Brice Turang, for example, led all World Series players in WAR during the regular season, and his odds to win the World Series MVP are currently below 10%. Here's a look at how the odds currently sit:
World Series MVP Odds
A very important thing to keep in mind when betting on World Series MVP is that only one player in MLB history won the MVP when his team lost, and it happened in 1960. You may notice, when scanning the World Series MVP odds, that Brewers players are favored more highly than Rays players — that's because Milwaukee is a heavy favorite to win the series.
As a result, some of the Rays' best MVP contenders are sitting with very favorable odds for bettors who want some value with their pick. Junior Caminero and Yandy Diaz are both capable of winning the award and currently have odds below 10%; Drew Rasmussen is a candidate to start two games and potentially even make a relief appearance, and his odds are minuscule leading up to the series.
And yet, players like Jackson Chourio and William Contreras, the odds-on favorites to win the award, have only about 15% odds to take the trophy. There's value up and down the oddsboard if you want to bet on a player to win World Series MVP.
Other World Series Betting Markets
While World Series champion, MVP, and game-by-game bets are the most popular way to place a wager on the World Series, there are plenty more markets available on prediction markets like Kalshi. The first market we'll show you is on the total number of games played in the series. It's a seven-game series, so the winner must win four games to be crowned champions; but if you think you know how many games it'll take them to get their fourth win, you can put some money behind it in a trade.
A bet on the series spread is a similar concept to total number of games played, but with decreased odds on each option because you're backing a specific team. This is one of the more challenging markets to bet on because a team like the Brewers may be better set up to win a seven-game series, but how each game plays out is much more up in the air.
Series Game Spread: Rays vs. Brewers
Another bet similar to series spread is the exact outcome of the series. While series spread is a bit more open ended — a team can cover a 1.5-game spread by winning by two, three or four games, for example — betting on the exact series score is more difficult and could earn bettors a larger return if their pick hits.
Series Exact Score: Rays vs. Brewers
First pitch for the 2026 World Series will be thrown by Jacob Misiorowski at 8:00 p.m. ET in Milwaukee. If you think you know how the series will play out, we've given you ample options for making trades and placing bets on the World Series on this page. But even if you're just watching for fun, having an idea of these betting odds will help inform you as to which outcomes are most probable, and what kind of probabilities are being overcome when the biggest surprises happen.
Enjoy the 2026 World Series!
